Singapore / São Paulo, November 13, 2025 – Liquid Group, a Singapore-based fintech company specializing in cross-border digital payments, and PagBrasil, Brazil’s payment technology company and pioneer in the international expansion of Pix, today announced a new partnership to connect RoamQR™, Singapore’s interoperable QR payment network operated by Liquid Group, with Pix, Brazil’s instant payment system operated by the Central Bank of Brazil. This marks the first expansion of RoamQR beyond Asia, linking Liquid Group’s interoperable payment network with Brazil’s Pix Roaming infrastructure. The integration enables users of participating Asian digital-wallet and banking apps to make QR payments directly at Pix merchants through RoamQR’s cross-network orchestration framework. Pix has already expanded beyond Brazil, enabling payments in destinations such as Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, and, most recently, the United States — and this partnership marks the first connection of a network from Asia to Pix through RoamQR.

Creating a Global Payment Fabric

Under this partnership, Liquid Group and PagBrasil are establishing a secure and scalable bridge between national payment networks, enabling seamless interoperability between RoamQR and Pix. RoamQR is Singapore’s interoperable QR payment network, connecting banks, wallets, non-bank financial institutions, and acquirers domestically, while also serving as a payment orchestration network that links Singapore’s payment ecosystem with partner national systems such as Pix and others across the region. Its open architecture supports not only bilateral interoperability between Singapore and partner systems but also multi-network connectivity, paving the way for future cross-linkages among participating national payment networks around the world.

The collaboration with PagBrasil extends RoamQR’s interoperability to Latin America and underscores Liquid Group’s commitment to building a globally connected payment fabric that bridges digital ecosystems across continents.

Driving Global Interoperability

The integration between Pix Roaming and RoamQR highlights the growing momentum behind cross-border QR interoperability. Pix’s expansion into markets such as Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Spain, Portugal and the United States underscores its growing international reach, and this collaboration with Liquid Group represents the first linkage from an Asian payment network to Pix, enabling interoperability on a truly global scale. By linking the national payment frameworks, Liquid Group and PagBrasil are paving the way for a new generation of seamless cross-border payments that combine the efficiency of domestic systems with global accessibility.
