Corporate Statement on Fraudulent Recruitment Scams

Liquid Group acknowledges the joint advisory issued today by the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regarding scams involving the misuse of digital payment accounts.

We take the misuse of our platform for unlawful activities extremely seriously. The reported cases involve individuals who were allegedly deceived through fraudulent job recruitment schemes into opening payment accounts under false pretences, which were subsequently misused by criminal syndicates.

Protecting our customers and maintaining the integrity of Singapore's digital payments ecosystem remain our highest priorities.

Upon becoming aware of these reports, Liquid Group immediately commenced enhanced reviews of our customer onboarding processes, transaction monitoring and fraud detection controls. We are also implementing additional measures to further strengthen our safeguards against the misuse of our platform.

Liquid Group is cooperating fully with the Singapore Police Force, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and other relevant authorities in support of their ongoing investigations.

We would also like to remind members of the public that:

  • Liquid Group does not require applicants to download the LiquidPay app or open a LiquidPay account as part of any recruitment or employment process.
  • Be cautious of unsolicited job offers received through social media, messaging platforms or unknown individuals.
  • Never share your Singpass credentials, passwords or one-time passwords (OTPs) with anyone.
  • If you believe you have been approached by scammers or suspect that a LiquidPay account may have been opened in your name under suspicious circumstances, please contact us immediately at support@liquidgroup.sg.

Scammers continue to evolve their tactics, and combating scams requires collective vigilance across the industry. Liquid Group remains committed to working closely with regulators, law enforcement agencies and industry partners to strengthen safeguards against scams and protect our customers.
