Liquid Group Expands RoamQR™ into Vietnam with Launch of Vietnam–Singapore Cross-border QR Payments

Liquid Group today announced the launch of the Vietnam–Singapore Cross-border QR Payment Service, in collaboration with the National Payment Corporation of Vietnam (NAPAS) and VietinBank.

The launch marks another significant milestone in expanding RoamQR™, Liquid Group's interoperable cross-border QR payment network, strengthening digital payment connectivity between Singapore and Vietnam while supporting tourism, trade and broader digital economic integration across ASEAN.

Through this collaboration, users of participating Singapore payment apps connected via RoamQR™ can seamlessly scan and pay at VietQRGlobal acceptance points across Vietnam using their familiar home payment apps. Transactions are processed in real time with direct currency conversion between Singapore Dollars (SGD) and Vietnamese Dong (VND), delivering a secure, convenient and familiar payment experience for travellers while enabling Vietnamese merchants to serve more international customers through their existing QR payment infrastructure.

Strengthening Regional Payment Connectivity

As cross-border travel and digital commerce continue to grow across Southeast Asia, interoperable payment infrastructure plays an increasingly important role in delivering seamless payment experiences for consumers while simplifying acceptance for merchants.

The Vietnam–Singapore connectivity further strengthens RoamQR™'s expanding regional network, bringing together national QR payment systems, payment applications, merchant acquirers and financial institutions through a single interoperable framework.
